Problem with Open Office

Has anyone else had this problem?

If I have a spreadsheet open in Open Office, after AWC2 has done its scheduled autocare scan I am no longer able to save the Open Office spreadsheet. It is as if the autocare scan has managed to remove the Open Office temporary file which of course should be locked.

It only happens if I have the 'junk file clean' option checked.

Hi jmjade,

Run a scan. When it is finished, click "see details" next to Junk Files. Try unclicking "Windows temporary files". Don't repair it, but run another scan -then repair. See if you have the same problem.

Thanls for your speedy reply samr

I ran a scan as you suggested - but did the repair first to ensure it was the scan that was causing it. It was and I was no longer able to save the file as expected. I then reopened a file and made alterations to it- then ran the scan again. This time the scan came up clean - it found no problems - nor any junk files!!!

I need to pursue this further. Maybe the scan only removes files after a period of time, and possibly Open Office reuses the same temp files each time if they still exist.
