360 freeware vs. MalwareBytes freeware

I dowloaded the latest updates for both programs, then shut down Advanced SystemCare Pro so no objects would be removed while scanning. I also disconnected from The Internet to isolate my computer completely. I find that Iobit 360 doesn't give any scan reports if nothing is found, only when it finds something. In my case, 360 has only found tracking cookies. I ran "Full Scans", one after another and noted the following:

Iobit 360 took 2:41:03 to complete the scan, scanned 153,177 objects and the peak memory usage was 317,616 K.

Malware Bytes took 1:33:48 to complete, scanned 192,123 objects and the peak memory usage was 77,308 K.

I had run Malware Bytes "Quick Scan" just before, and it found NO problems.

I ran 360 "Smart Scan" just before, and it found and removed 5 tracking cookies.

So it appears that MalwareBytes scanned 38946 MORE objects than 360 and took almost HALF the time to complete the full scan.

I don't know how significant the memory usage is, but Iobit 360 certainly used considerably more memory than MalwareBytes.

The 2 attached files show the final results of the scans, plus show Windows Task Manager with the peak memory usage shown.

I have also included 2 MalwareBytes scan reports, one QuickScan and one Full Scan. I would have included 360 reports but none are generated when no problems are found.

Well lucky you are not to be infected:grin: But suprisingly iobit took longer to scan than malwarebytes, possible disconnecting from the internet has something to do with this.
