Hi sunny

They are self-governing, but are still members of the Danish realm.

They have two seats in the Danish parliament.

The old Eskimo attitude to for example murder, (in a situation that would sometimes be called manslaughter in England, US, or Denmark), was not to incarcinate the offender but to make him responsible for the family of the killed victim - in many ways a much more sensible approch than extracting vengence.

But how it is precisely today I do not know, the westernization has probably modified this.

Cheers

is Gronland still part of Danmark I heard a while back they were looking to be independent due to large gas and oil discovered below them.

read a bit about them in the past, they let the prisoners out of prison to work each day as they are short of manpower, yet they have two guards escort a lone murderer to go hunting in his boat!

Hi my friends. I'm just a dumb Okie(Oklahoma). I do not know if I believe in God or not. I see so many terrible things in this life that make me wonder. I lost my father and my sister with cancer when they were only 40. I lost my son, the love of my life, when he was 23. I am a cancer survivor at the moment and have a good life. I see so many terrible things in life every day and wonder, is there really a caring and loving God. It would be great if the whole world shared their wisdom as we do on this forum. I share the same feeling as jjj, I love this forum. Today I'm the windshield; tomorrow maybe the bug. I really enjoyed every ones post on this thread.{garybear} Live well my friends. http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad93/gandorwig/zzz1003.gif

garybear- I just received my new pair of excellent quality Taiwanese made A-Data 16 GB XPG USB Flash Drives and I was therefore able to oficially retire the Toshiba 16 GB Flash Drive that now holds the full 11.6 GB Macrium Reflect Image Backup and so I now have a complete portable emergency backup for my laptop.

I owe you, Ted and especially jjj for starting this thread with such a convincing Wakeup Call to Computer Backup a huge debt of gratitude for helping me prepare and learn how to use a complete Image Backup just days before disaster struck my compter because without all of you guys' help and encouragement I definitely would have hit the windshield and hard just like the poor guy in the gif you posted!!!

Hi Maxx. I'm very happy for you and I'm glad I could play a small part in your Computer life. It's a good feeling to feel secure about your PC. I'm still trying to get photobucket to work . It looks like you used thehttp://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad93/gandorwig/zzz1003.gif. I can't get that to work for some reason. Do you have any advice for me. I copy and paste it but it doesn't open up like it does for you. The other 3 seem to work for me. {garybear} PS This is what I get , but it won"t open for me. http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad93/gandorwig/zzz1003.gif[/img]"]

Hi friend

Hi solbjerg. I to am not a man of prayer either. I prayed night and day for 14 days for my son, as he laid in the hospital. I think I used all my prayers up then and have not asked for any thing since. If my son had died instantly I might not feel this way now. My friends tell me God gave his son for me and I tell them if I were God I would find a better way to save man. When you lose a son ,life is never the same. I do make one prayer my friend solbjerg and it is that when my life is over I want to cease to exist, which is probably the way it is any way. Live well.{garybear}

garybear- I apologize for going on and on about it, but jjj, Ted and yourself truly did save me from Recovery Hell because much of the extensive amount of upgrading I did to get my Vista computer to run 40% faster than it did when it was new and start for 502 MB of RAM instead of the original 1 GB of RAM at the desktop was done late at night and to be honest there are quite a lot of complicated changes that I made and I simply can not currently remember the exact replication procedure and so the 30 minute Image Backup saved me having to spend days agonizing over the menusha of a full manual Recovery.

If you go to the thread I just posted which contains your animated gif and take a close look at the BBcode used to display it and how it is used you will be able to post hosted gif images and pictures at will.

I have no idea what your saying friend. Where in the hell is the BBcode. This is what I get. http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad93/gandorwig/zzz1003.gif Well hell that's the first time it worked and I don't know what I did.

garybear- Great! You did it! By placing the in%20front%20of%20the%20url%20and%20%5B

This is what the above post and animated .gif looked like before I posted them. Notice the coding at the beginning and end of the .gif's url...

http://i468.photobucket.com/albums/rr44/Maxxwire_Photos/Album%202/gearybear1.png

In Photobucket the bottom option on the dropdown list will contain this display coding so all you will need to do is to copy and paste and it will automatically display the image or .gif wherever you post it.

There is an easy way to "steal" these images of smilies. Start an email titled "smilies". Open another tab & come to the forum (or elsewhere). Right click on the smiley & copy, then open the other tab & paste to your email.Do them one at a time until you have them all pasted in the email. Send it to yourself & then save the email. When you want one, go to the "smiley" email, right click & copy. Then just paste to your forum post. This will work as long as the image is still available in it's original location. It will not show in your email if it is not.

jjj- As an example the placement of an appropriate graphic could serve to accentuate the wonderful jokes you post and help your readers to appreciate them even more...

garybear- I think that the secret to Samr's technique is to as he said "Right click on the smiley & copy, then open the other tab & paste to your email.". I regularly copy and paste large format pictures into my email and it works because it is already has an address and hosted on the internet as do the photos and gif animations in your Photobucket account.

For example when I hovered my cursor directly over your gif in the post above I right clicked the mouse and used the 'copy image address' function from the context menuto copy the image's web address and then I pasted it right here with this result...

http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad93/gandorwig/zzz1003.gif

Then all I had to to do at each end of the web address was add the image designation code http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad93/gandorwig/zzz1003.gif%5B

I am now eagerly off now to install a 1.24 MB program that portends to revolutionize my entire Computer Security System, but I wanted to make sure that things were going well here first. Talk to you soon.

Hi jjj

Given your security conciousness, I think you should follow the description in Usage of IObit Products. That way you will first upload your picture to the forum server and then afterwards use the address it has there to get the picture into your post.

Perhaps there are other methods too - I am no expert.

Attachments

There is also often a request for providing more information in the form of an attachment.

When you are creating/answering a post you might want to provide your readers with a screenshot or some other file.

This is done by going below the writing window to Additional Options and under "Attachments" click on the button "Manage Attachments", - this brings you to a dialog window where you can "Upload a file from your computer" - you then find the file in question on your computer and Upload it. It will then become an attachment in your post.

Please make sure that the file to be attached is not larger in size than shown in the dialog window.

Hi jjj

The post I was referring to was this:

http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.p...2357#post12357

http://forums.iobit.com/showpost.php?p=12357&postcount=12

First upload the picture you want as an attachment, - then open the attached picture in the post - copy the address in the address bar - go back to the post - choose edit /advanced - and click insert picture - a dialog box will come up where you place the copied address.

Then the picture is in the post!

Cheers

solbjerg

p.s. the method the others are using is having an address to a photo file (their own) that are placed on the net (on some server) and using that address in the photo address box - I think :-)

I agree that loading pictures to a server first would be the highest security method, but how is the IObit server to be accessed for this purpose? I read through the subjects in the Usage of IObit Products, but I didn't see an article specifically pertaining to this subject. Do you have any helpful suggestions?

Hi Maxx

In the bottom of this post I have placed a short description of the HOW

http://forums.iobit.com/showpost.php?p=12357&postcount=12

quite a while ago :-)

If it isn't sufficiently descriptive please advice me :-)

Cheers

solbjerg

p.s. I you write one of your incomparable descriptions with some of your beautiful pictures, I will add a link to your description in the post :-)
