Where is the log file hidden - please tell me the secret!!!

Is there even a log file? I've wasted the last hour or two searching everywhere trying to find out where it is.

I do not mean the HijackThis-style logfile, I mean a log of what ASCFree does when scanning - in particular what spyware etc is deletes.

1) Is there a log file kept of this?

2) If so, where is it??

3) Why cannot the answer to 2) be put in the manual or FAQ so that people don't have to waste an evening trying to find it?

Thanks

This one?

C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Iobit\Advanced System Care\Backups Also,C:\Program Files\IObit\Advanced System Care\Backups- Have you read through the Online Help for IObit Software documents? The link is at the top right of the main forum page-it takes you here .I thought that was covered in there, but perhaps not.

Hi disgruntled,

The answer to your question # 1) is No! That makes the other two invalid.

If you consider the Backup registry files as logs, then open them with Notepad to see what is in them.

In XP they are in:

C:\Documents and Settings\{User Name}\Application Data\IObit\Advanced SystemCare\Backup

and in Vista & Windows7, they are in:

C:\Users\{User Name}\AppData\Roaming\IObit\Advanced SystemCare\Backup

Cheers.
