Need help.

I am new to these forums but I have used ASC for awhile now. I just recently installed the newest version of ASC on a brand new computer. It seems like everything in the program runs fine, but for some reason, whenever I try to repair after running the Privacy Sweep, my computer instantly reboots all on its own.

 

I haven't the slightest idea as to what is causing this to happen.

it's not possible to come to conclusions for the causes of a rebooting of a PC since there many possibilities.

 

Since Privacy Sweep detects and removes cookies there is a chance a strong Cookie by an innocent WebSite is resisting and crashing down PC (eg Microsoft, Google...) or mayby a SPYWARE, Malware cookie is causing this

 

 

Scan for malware with IObit Security-360 and other antiv.

How are your program settings configured?

Do you have these two options ticked:

Enable Secure File Deletion DOD 5220.22-M (Slower)

Prompt for an action when reboot is required to complete update
