Try

firefox likes to use loopback, and will therefore "listen" on port for the inbound connection. You could place a rule to block outbound to localhost(127.0.0.1) which should stop this

Try localhost port 1187,(with outbound localhost port 1188 and inbound localhost 1187.)

Hi ajap,

First, please learn from your ISP, the maximum allowable download speed, and type of your Internet connection (PPPoE, etc.), to decide the values for optimizing your Internet Connection.

Cheers.

hi enoskype, my maximun allowable download speed is 1 Mb and my internet connection is cable modem.

Well done ajap,

Your TCP/IP Optimization is done.

As long as you have the same connection speed and type, you can try changing only: TCP Receive Window: 64240

Do not forget to Restart the PC after each change.

Bear in mind that, you will be the only one who can tell the difference, be it positive or negative.

If you are living in or around USA, and using the Internet sites mostly in USA, then there is a probability that the higher figure will be better for you.

If you are outside of USA (Europa, Asia, Africa, Australia), and using the sites in USA, then you may prefer the lower figure.

Cheers, and enjoy it.

hi enoskype, i'm living in Venezuela. I want to say a big thank to everyone for your replies and specially for you, congrats and thanks for the quality assistance you have gave me.

i have a question; I created 2 rules to do the test 1) allowing incomming pakets to local port 445, 2) allowing outgoing pakets to remote port 8080. is there any problem if I stay with them ?

best regards
