New user of ASC free version

Being software illiterate, should I leave "AVG 8.5" installed now that I've installed "ASC"? Are they compatible? In addition, I have "Smart Defrag 1.11" installed on my system also. Should this software also be removed?:???:

AVG 8.5 is anti-virus software.

IObit does not make anti-virus software

All IObit software should be compatible with AVG and all other anti-virus software.

Leave AVG installed on your computer.

 

If you are unhappy with AVG then have a look at the popular Avast and Avira

Just to add to what wozofoz has posted ,you might want to update Smart Defrag to the current version 1.20:

Be sure to exit Smart defrag from the tray before updating.

If you're an AVG fan,the new version (9) was just released (paid) which means the free version of 9 should be out by the end of the month if they hold true to form.Have a look at this.
