I have a quick question. Wy is it that my defrag program in windows XP shows huge amounts of red after I defrag using IOBIT smart defrag? Smart defrag show alot of red after I use the XP defrag program. So, which one is correct?

What about before the defrags

Does it show red before you defrag with either of them. Try analyzing with the windows one then iobit but dont defrag and if there the same then there is no problem.

It's not a matter of which is correct, it a matter of how the developers of the particular app defined "defragment". One may be happy with defragmenting just the files themselves, while another may want to defrag the files then move them to the "front" of the drive, leaving empty space at the end. Some even place the files in a particular order on the drive in order to improve efficiency. If you ran 10 different defrag programs, I'd be willing to bet that none of them would give the exact same results.
