LIST of my selected threads

Hello everyboddy

I post in several threads and when I connect to Iobit forum I loose a while to retrieve my posts...

It is possible that my english is not "at the top" and there is somewhere a link I missed, so I'll be happy to be directed

or I believe i might be genius to have a special link which lists all marked member's threads

each new thread or each post in a thread would create an automatic link for the member who decide when to stop the follow

Cheers

thats a good idea to a have a link to "my posts" you could then read either posts you started or posts by others were you have added comments.

I have seen this on other forums any it is useful as the "new posts" here often misses quiet a lot and is not too reliable.

one for enoskype and samir to look at.

Subcribed Threads in User CP

Hi :-)

When you start a new post or reply to a post you can be subscribed to that post

First, make sure you are 'Subscribed' to all the threads you post in.

Near the top of this or any page there is a bar and on that bar there is User CP (means User Control Panel)

Click on User CP

Click on Edit Options (on the left)

The second box down is called Messaging & Notification and in that box is Default Thread Subscription Mode

There is a box with a drop down arrow, click this arrow and select which type of notification you would like.

'Instant email Notification' is a good one if you would like to get an email when someone replies to a thread you are subscribed to. This is my choice.

'No email notification' will not send an email but you are still subscribed

'Do not subscribe' is not the choice you want

When you have made your choice click on Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

When you come to the IObit forum you can:

Click on UserCP

You will see a box titled New Subscribed Threads

This is a list of the threads you have not read on this visit to the forum.

Click on the link to go directly to the thread

At the bottom of the box you will see View all Subscribed Threads

Click on this to see a full list of your subscribed threads

Click on the link to go directly to the thread :-)

EDIT: And the method enoskype mentions works too ;-)

All the best, woz of oz

User CP

Hi wozofoz. Thanks for your post. I had forgotten all about that feature( User CP) and your post reminded me of it. While I was messing with that feature I found I had a whole bunch of attachments; probably more than any one one the forum. I am concerned about what I should do with them. Should I leave them or delete them. I didn't realize then were being stored some place. I delete old PM's but wasn't aware of these attachments being stored. If I delete them will they be deleted from my threads and posts?? {garybear} Thank you.

Hi Ted

You are right!

But wozofoz I think that the possibility to view the threads in a different display mode should be mentioned too, It is usually set to linear mode, but try the other possibilities too, especially the Hybrid mode.

Thanks for that tip, Hybrid is way 8)

I had always been happy with the default so I never experimented.

In case some folks don't know this one, here is a tip for those who visit often. This is the same as going to Quick Links > Today's Posts but quicker.

It is my IObit forum bookmark and in fact my most used bookmark for all the vBulletin style forums I am a member of.

Copy the following IObit forum address and paste it into a bookmark:

http://forums.iobit.com/search.php?do=getdaily

At the top of the resulting search page are all the posts with new replies (updated) since your last visit.

Under that is The threads below have not been updated since your last visit or since forums have been marked read.

Note: After launching this bookmark the address in the AddressBar will read something like

http://forums.iobit.com/search.php?searchid=510351

The searchid number at the end of this address is constantly changing so bookmarking that address will not get any results later.

Edit: I almost forgot, if you have been away for say 3 days and you want to see all the threads with new replies that you have missed then just put &days=3 (or whatever number of days) at the end so it would look like this:

http://forums.iobit.com/search.php?do=getdaily&days=3

All the best, woz of oz

Hi wozofoz

You are doing a great job explaining!!!

I think we all tend to forget the possibilities after we have set up our CP and preferences :-) so it is good to be reminded once in a while :-)

Thank you!!
