Ok firzen

Self manufactured proof though.

So let's please wait passing jugdement until the accused party has had time to rally under the attack.

Cheers

of course ther samples are self manufactured, as is their signature database that IObit ended up taking, the only way for them to POSSIBLY add an authentic TRAP signature is by creating it and guess what, they wer caught red handed, they let people download these IN HOUSE samples as well after IObit had already been caught to prove the images werent manufactured... lol

Well after reading the article in my own opinion I'm a bit on Malwarebytes side because of the evidence but..heres my opinion why I trust IObit

1. Why would IObit bother with Malwarebytes database I mean if I was a theft I would go for A-Squared database because they have a large database.

2. IObit has many great features for a freeware such as real time and DOG while at Malwarebytes doesnt include those features.

3. Why do people think IObit only wants money and scam people I mean there are giveaways and plenty of discounts..not to mention the prices are affordable for many

Many users say Chinese people have bad grammer? you do know technology nowadays tend to make us become lazy and type asap without caring about our mistakes..for now I'll keep with IObit Security 360..never liked Malwarebytes aniwaiz I'm not a fan boy of any of those two as I mainly use A-Squared free for on-demand and recently installed Security 360 PRO because of the free pro license giveaway.

Well after saying all that lack of evidence still makes me on the Malwarebytes side..

I don't understand what you are waiting for.

IOBit has already said something like: "We don't steal Malwarebytes database".

Now they are under attack because of the poor explanation they made, the Conduit toolbar (replaced by the yahoo toolbar. They know they were wrong), and finally the porn pages they host. (google.fr/search?q=site%3Aiobit.com+hentai )

All of this does not sound very ethical.

Yes I have to agree with Snake it was shocking at first I was wondering if one of IObit employee has been fiddling around with the website? it would be best to fix that to clear your name..and by reading IObit blog page I am now more in the IObit side as you guys accept online submission source and that usually face trouble as competitors could throw in some signatures they use and claim they stole it off them. In the past I used to hang around in the SSUpdater forum downloading samples and testing out some of the known AV ..Malwarebytes accused them and wanted to shut them down because of the poor results they have given for Malwarebytes..could this also mean they want to shut you guys down..mmm Interesting

Yet another attempt to insert porn into a forum thread

Hi snake

Poor in your eyes perhaps.

But seeing that you are trying to insert porn links into the IObit forum, flags you as a spammer.

One more attempt and you are banned!

This is ridiculous...the "porn" he is posting is created and hosted by IOBit themselves...so if you are going to ban anyone, ban yourselves for being a part of a company that sees fit to advertise it's product using pornography!

Ok handyman

Illogical obfuscating posts ought to be banned too!

Thank you for directing my attention to that fact.

There is no porn being hosted by IObit. The "porn links" aren't links to porn; they're links to IObit web pages that tout the usefulness of their software while surfing for porn. I'm not defending that practice mind you, but let's at least get the story straight.

I really admire you IOBit folks being so calm when so many Malwarebyte fan boys registering and trash talking in your forum. First thing first about the hentai..who da hell bothers typing "iobit: hentai on google"? I mean seriously! I'm not a fan of both side acually I dislike Malwarebytes as its overrated and has many cons and tried to shut down SSUpdater once where I download samples and try out testing Security 360 which made me proud since its fairly new. Why would people even bother posting IObit are scammers? I mean seriously how much discounts and free give aways are you guys given away..humans this days are easily confused just by seeing one side accusing the other. I have to say I'm in for IOBit for this one and of course not uninstalling Security 360 like many sites out there recommend why? because this is stupid people gotta relize we are living in a world with alot competition people will try to crush each other to reach to the top..and also if a theft would steal someones else virus database seriously you would aim for a business that has a large database like A-squared..and with all the awesome features IOBit Security 360 has I don't see why people side with "Malwarebytes" free antimalware with no real time..

It wasn't my intention to insert porn link on IObit pages, it is already there.

My link was a research on google to show you what google has already cached month before.

You can also have a look at the IOBit sitemap to see that these pages are from IOBit: iobit.com/sitemap.xml

I understand all of you (moderators) are not from the iobit team. You are here to moderate and can't give answers to people. Where is the IOBit team ?

you obviously do not have the technical knowledge or the reading skills to understand the accusations that malwarebytes posted. IOBit is only detecting as well as it is because apparently it is stealing the databases of malwarebytes (and other) security programs. Not because it rocks, or its free or anything else.

Perhaps it's too fine a point for you, theampersand, but suggesting that your software may be used while surfing for porn is hardly the same as hosting or linking to actual porn.

Die hard fans...can't change them. I'm pretty sure if IOBit physically murdered someone you would still come up with some sort of excuse for them.

A security company should not be using black hat SEO and advertising itself through porn keywords on it's own website.

"I really admire you IOBit folks being so calm when so many Malwarebyte fan boys registering and trash talking in your forum".

Hilarious how you've just registered and you're trash talking Malwarebytes.

"Why would people even bother posting IObit are scammers? I mean seriously how much discounts and free give aways are you guys given away"

Those two are unrelated. It's like saying it's okay to scam people as long as I give the money away. No it aint.

"we are living in a world with alot competition people will try to crush each other to reach to the top"

Competition is good! However some get to the top the legit way and others take the shortcut like IOBit for example.

"also if a theft would steal someones else virus database seriously you would aim for a business that has a large database like A-squared"

Malwarebytes claims they have stolen from other vendors too. They have not substantiated this claim yet with any proof but there is a possibility A-squared is also a victim?

"with all the awesome features IOBit Security 360 has I don't see why people side with "Malwarebytes" free antimalware with no real time.."

On demand detection rates. There are other software that I use for real time.

To be honest I'd actually like everyone sharing virus signatures cause then we'd be looking for the software that scans the fastest and not the one with the best detection rates. That ain't reality though.

"Die hard fans," That's funny. I actually agree with your last statement. That doesn't change the fact that you guys are condemning IObit for hosting porn and they don't. If you're going to argue the facts at least get the facts straight.

Your flag waving is having a detrimental affect on your ability to read.

I said

I did not say they were hosting porn. They are hosting a black hat SEO page and using porn keywords to lure people into downloading their programs.

Any excuse for that?

I know I also said I would be quiet now but I've been watching the thread and thinking.

Again, I can appreciate the position of all the IObit supporters right now. I also serve at several of the security forums and help folks with cleaning their PC's.

This post is not in regards to the alleged theft of intellectual property. And no, IObit is not hosting porn or illegal sites. I get that and I can read.

Now forgive me mods if I post something that shouldn't be posted. I'm not posting any links, just some search terms (using Google).

hentai porn - IObit page is on the bottom of the second page in rankings which is pretty high

porn games - middle of the second page (again pretty high)

I would consider these common search terms for folks who are searching for this stuff.

Now, please don't insult our intelligence any more and say that IObit has nothing to do with these pages. It has been proven and is very clear this is "blackhat", or whatever you want to call it, SEO, and they've been doing it for quite some time.

Now, another thing...their P2P turbo beta project.

http://www.iobit.com/labs.html

This page comes out number 2 on the search word p2p turbo. Now again, not illegal, but certainly highly questionable ethics again.

This brings me to my conclusion (I know, not soon enough). I do a lot of help with Malware Removal and Prevention. These 2 surfing practices/uses (porn and P2P) are probably number 1 and 2 in terms of folks getting their PC's infected. So my conclusion is they are encouraging users into unsafe practices, then telling them we have your fix. Wow! I give props to whoever thought this up, it's clever, no doubt.

Sorry, one more thing. I have tried to put myself in your shoes (the IObit forum supporters) as I said I serve the same role in many other forums. If it were me and any one of the forums I served in was doing this, I would step down in my support until they corrected their ways, or at least stepped up to the plate and made some explanations. I do feel for you guys and glad this has not happened to me or the products I support.

Regards,

Dave aka IndiGenus

Hi Dave,

I'm with you on all points. Even if IObit is found to be in the clear re: IS360 and MBAM I still have to decide whether or not I want to continue to support a company that uses such advertising practices. The facts that the pages were updated relatively recently (mid-Oct), and are still up today indicates that they're a part of IObot's sales strategy and not simply hack-ware or the left-overs of a rogue web master. As far as that goes...well, there's not really a decision to be made; I can't/won't support that sort of marketing. It's disappointing.

Dave
