ASC 3.4.1 - Freeze on Registry Scan

I've noticed since updating to to ASC 3.4.1, the program freezes during the registry scan. I've detected that the point at which the program becomes unresponsive is when it gets to to scannimg "shortcut" under the Registry Fix Options. The scan runs fine and once it starts scanning shortcuts, ASC freezes. To allow ASC to complete a Registry Fix scan I need to uncheck the "shortcut" box. I believe "Shortcut" was a new add to version 3.4.1.

 

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

 

I am on Win XP SP3 and my registry usually stays fairly clean, using Comodo and Auslogics to scan periodically.

 

Whether or not this is unrelated---when I use the ASC utility for finding invalid shortcuts, I have no problems. It's only when ASC scans "shortcuts" when in the Registry Scan mode that it freezes up
