Hi gary :-)

Good idea! But perhaps learn the language first? According to Maxx Japanese should be easy, so we will choose that from this current theme (karentotopikkusu) and call them on their way to school. :-)

cheval is horse in french - and it is that easy with every language :-)

OK my friend. This should test your brain. I have tried every trick I know and I can not delete these. PS Its amazing but these dxxx Adobe files will not delete with unlocker ,in safe mode, or any other way I know. Adobe doesn't show up in registry:Add/Remove: Revo. Only in program files.

Hi enoskype and gary

If you have uninstalled the program (consider using Revo for that) I think that the folder can be deleted by marking it (don't open it) and hitting the delete key. Or right clicking the folder (don't open it first) and choose delete in the right click menu.

Hi Gary, if you can not delete a folder, try deleting the files inside it one by one first. After the folder is empty, then you can delete it.

Cheers.

Hi guys

Hi guys. Thanks for all your help. I've tried every thing you all have suggested and nothing works. I have never seen any thing like this before. Its a new one for me. I searched the web and there are more people with this same problem and no answers. This will keep you all busy ,but please don't wear your selves out on this . Its not a biggie just a challenge if you want one When I get tired of Adobe, I have plenty of back up images that don't have Adobe on them. Thanks friends. Ps search the web for (can't delete Adobe) you will see what I'm talking about.---garybear

Hi gary

A couple of things:

If it is uninstalled either by Revo or by using control panel Add/Remove programs.

You can try to open My computer and then the C: drive and then programs - find the folder Adobe (how big is it MB-wise) right click on it and choose delete.

Do you have digital editions in it too? If so uninstall that program too through Add/Remove.

If this doesn't work you could try Installing the program again and THEN uninstall it and finally delete the folder.

Cheers

Hi guys .Dan gets the prize

Also, try deleting the files within the folders first, using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM) built-in locked file eraser.

You can find it, when you open MBAM, on the "More Tools" tab - it is called FileASSASSIN.

MSE is gone now Thanks.

In the background of shot 2 you provided, I see many things. Adobe in the front blocks some of the view, but it appears you have many remnants??? Not just Adobe... but the MSE as well????

Appearances can be deceiving though!

Hi friend thanks for picking that up. I got rid of all the Mse. Check out my screen shots after your post. MSE is gone .Thanks Friend.--gary

When searching for left over folders, files etc I recommend the wonderful Everything Search

Be careful of course

As for Adobe we must keep in mind there is also Adobe Flash and so all folders should be opened to make sure it is not an Adobe Flash folder

All the best, woz of oz

Hi woz. I'm a simple man and a simple mind. This sure doesn't convince me that I need Adobe.--garybear I'll check out the flash. I 'm not fond of a company that won't let me delete their programs. http://ezinearticles.com/?Why-Do-I-Need-Adobe-Reader-On-My-Computer?&id=143564

Adobe Flash

Adobe Flash is integrated into your browser and allows you to view videos etc on websites. A very common use is at news websites where they have a little video screen built in.

Most people want Adobe Flash for this reason

I have also deleted Adobe Reader (now use FoxIt Reader) and it was while searching for Adobe Reader leftovers that I found the Adobe Flash folders and files which I wanted to keep.

All the best, woz of oz

Hi gary

I agree that the program Adobe Reader is rather bloated these days, but for example timetables are very often in .pdf format and will therefore ask you to install the Reader in order to be able see the timetable. :-)

Or read communication from civil administration, public services and the like.

This is the reason I have it installed.

I have a nice little application for saving a file as a .pdf file myself called Cutepdf writer, but the possibility to do so comes free with MsOffice 2007

This possibility also exists in Open Office which can save a file in many formats.

The reason .pdf is used is that the common user cannot as easily change or edit a file in that format as is possible to do in .html format. (at least without paying for the full Adobe Acrobat program)

In short it is more akin to getting a letter in the letterbox delivered by the postman :-)

Cheers
