AWC 5.1 - 5.5 download issue

I have been a user of AWC Personal from the early stages of Beta Testing and have recommended it to many of my friends. My problem is that when I downloaded the new version AWC 5.5, it would not take. I received an error message: C:\Program Files\IOBIT\Advanced Windows Care V2\unins000.DAT is corrupted. I cannot get the file to uninstall or delete off of my computer and it causes me great grief as I have tried to download it from majorgeeks and cnet but cannot get rid of the old file nor delete it which leaves me without AWC at all. I would like to continue my use of AWC and would like to have some help if possible???

Hi helorb1,

I have run in to this the last few days. I would un-install, then go to program files-Iobit and find AWC folder & delete it. If you have CCleaner installed run a registry scan. Then re-install from Iobit. Fixed mine.

Have you by any chance renamed it to AWC v. 5.5?

There is no such version, and if you have done so by mistake, then try to rename it back to 3 perhaps or one of the versions you know you have had.
