unable to run defrag

When I click on analyze, it starts then stops..same thing when I click on defrag.

Never had this problem before.

have you tried in safe mode?

 

[restart pc and press f8 button during boot up to get into safe mode]

I will ask a silly question.

 

Are you using laptop with battery power?

 

If yes, then is the checkbox of "Stop defrag while using battery." empty or checked. Try to check, then Apply, and uncheck and apply twice, and see if it solves the problem.
