Ok i have a problem. ok so I have a lot of favorites in my IE6 browser. Whenever i type out, lets say iobit.com, then it auto highlights my favorite that i have stored. that's ok for this site, but with, lets say myspace, it's not such a good idea because i have several myspace profiles bookmarked, all beginning with myspace and then the name of the user. Whenever i type myspace into the browser, it auto highlights and selects the first profile, which I dont want it to do. All i want to do is to go to the homepage, not that specific persons profile. I have only started noticing this since I ran advanced windows care personal. So i'm just wondering which registry key i could edit to correct the problem. I have tried googling it to find the solution, but had no luck.

xjonathan69x,

Although I use IE7, if I remember correctly, it was similar in IE6.

Go to:

Tools=>Internet Options=>Content=>AutoComplete=>Settings=>Use AutoComplete for=>Web Addresses (Uncheck the checkbox)

Second option may be:

Write the Home Page address (such as: http://www.myspace.com) and go to that page.

Next time it should be the first one highlighted when you start typing.

Third one:

Click Start=>click Run=>type "The web address"=>click OK

I hope this helps.
