It's always the most popular browser that gets attacked by malware most. So, if Firefox finally becomes the world's most used browser, then it will by definition become the most targetted too.

 

The best way to stay free of malware attacks is to change to a browser platform (but remember that Mozilla's framework is used for several browsers) that is relatively obscure.

• Change your browser to Google Chrome or Apple Safari

FF has been my default browser for several years. I have to use MSIE to interact with certain mainframes however. I have found that MSIE has really come along with its latest iteration. I am impressed with the development of it.
