SD Server 2010 hangs freezes

Hi

 

I did download the trial version of SD Server 2010.

If I start the program, it shows the GUI but then freezes immediately. The only way to close the software is to kill the task using the taskmanager.

 

Specs:

Server W2K SP4

Intel Pentium 1.8, 3GB Ram

Harddisks: IDE (Yes, it's an old machine! ;-)

Raid: No

 

AntiVirus:

AVG9 Server

 

I did stopp AVG (including its service!), but that does not help. There is absolutely no other security software installed on the server.

 

I did a clean uninstall/install (as described here in the forum). No luck at all.

 

I have SD 1.4 on a Vista PC with AVG9 and it's working properly there.

 

 

Any idea what the problem could be?
