Some questions before purchase - Why to choose Advanced System Care?

Hello enoskype,

So, I am using the 3.5.0.706 version of Advanced System Care Pro. I think this is the later version, or is there some newer?

I used this Advanced Uninstaller, and it gives me the results I mentioned above.

Hi ewsg,

Since you have not mentinod ASC's Advanced Uninstaller before I thought you were not using the latest one.

If you have the Advanced Uninstaller, then you have installed the latest setup file of ASC 3.5 (the build #s are the same for the latest setup file and the one prior to Feb. 11th.)

If you can give us the differences between ASC Advanced Uninstaller and Revo Uninstaller about their deletion of files and registries, it will be very useful for IObit to look after what their's is missing.

Cheers.

Hi,

As promised, I installed a software two times, uninstalling it one time with Revo Uninstaller Free and one time with the Advanced Uninstaller of Advanced System Care Pro.

You can see that Revo Uninstaller Free finds and lets me delete registry entries, and the Advanced Uninstaller of ASC Pro only find the program folder.

I installed the "Magix Xtreme Photo Designer 6":

Thanks again! :)

Hi evoskype!!

Hi Gary,

I hope yours is the one in the ASC folder (Sus_AdvancedUninstaller.exe), if it is the first standalone one, it is not the same.

The one in the ASC folder is the latest one.

Cheers.

Hi friend!! I was showing the stand alone in the first post screen shots. Is this what your telling me?? This one is the one to use?? I'm confused!! The video that ewsg is showing, looks like the stand alone to me.

Hi Gary,

There are 2 setup files for ASC 3.5.0.706.

The later one (links are given in ASC 3 version 3.5.0 is released [updated Feb. 11, 2010] thread) changes the Software Uninstaller with Advanced Uninstaller.

The GUI of both the stand alone and Sus_AdvanceUninstaller in ASC folder are the SAME. The one embedded in ASC sees more programs to uninstall.

Re-install ASC setup file after downloading the NEW setup file,so Advanced Uninstaller can be reached within ASC.

Cheers.

Hi ewsg

Nice videoes! Good job!

During the ASC Pro Uninstaller video I noticed that it checked the registry - So could I please ask you to try it again and this time go into the registry yourself and check if the keys are there or if they are gone.

This in order to be sure that the difference isn't just a difference in the setup of the windows in the two different programs, but really a difference in how they go about the cleaning command in the registry..

Thank you - that would be very informative and in line with you fine work with the videoes. :-)

Cheers

Hi enoskype,

Do you saw the videos I posted above?

There we can see that ASC Pro uninstaller don't searchs or deletes registry entries left by the uninstalled program. :)

Cheers.

Thank you, enoskype. :)

Hello,

This is my first post on the forum. Thank you all for sharing your knowledgement!

I would like to know, please, if someone could help me. I am intending in purchase Advanced System Care, and would like to ask somethings before:

6) The licence is "for one year"? After one year have I to purchase the software again?

:)

I just updated ASC3 Pro and am back to the FREE version.

It looks like you have to email them after every update to get them to reset the activation.

It's been about 12 hours since I emailed and still no reply or resetting.

I'm still waiting.

I'm beginning to think that they are more interested in making profits then supplying a usable product especially one that can be used 24/24.

Bloody annoying old chap.

Hello friends,

I made the test that solbjerg has asked.

And, unfortunately, I could find inumerous registry entries related to the software that was uninstalled through ASC Pro Advanced Uninstaller.

Do you have in mind to improve this feature?

Thanks! :)

Hi ewsg

Thank you! Were those keys the ones that Revo removed? (Just to be quite sure what we are talking about) :-)

(I like Revo Uninstaller - have translated that into Danish too)

I am sure that IObit will take a closer look at this.

Cheers

Hi ewsg,

I noticed that instantly when it was released, but considering it's the first release, I expect it to be improved over time, it does remove the program folder completely though, which many other uninstallers do not.

Don't worry too much, the superb registry cleaner of ASC PRO should take care of most registry entries Advanced Uninstaller misses.

Regards

Yes, they was.

Ok, let's see what IOBit will do regarding this. Will they read this thread?

I did not know you were part of the translator's team of Revo. Congratulations! :) Revo is also a great software!

Thanks! :)

Hello AL90,

Yes, I thing it will be improved. I also mentioned my thoughts and experiences to, who knows, help by some way the development of this great software ASC is. :)

Good suggestion. Thank you. I will let the registry cleaner of Advanced System Care PRO clean the registry entries left by the uninstalled softwares.

Thank you! :)
