Is it ok to uninstall windows updates....if so..how do I know which ones to get rid of?

Hi knutney

Go to Window/Microsoft Update

View installed updates, see what they do - and find the one you think is causing trouble for you.

Notice its number - usually KB #######

Find the uninstall information under usually C:/windows

And uninstall it.

You will be offered it again next time you use Windows/Microsoft Update

google the kb number that will take you to the microsoft page related to that download so you can read about it

One must be careful about uninstalling Windows updates, as some of them are prerequisites for a later important updates.

 

I wouldn't do that if there is no problem for a specific update.
