Post your suggestion, bug report here

Well, I am only using Win7x32, but looking at the attachment, two things come to my mind.

1) Default Windows Theme can be tried.

2) ASC can not find the language file it is supposed to use. Clean-uninstall (link in solbjer's signature) and a download of the setup file from a different source. (Can be found HERE.)

Other than those, someone using Win7 64 bit may respond.

Cheers.

This is my first post here, but I wanted to say excellent program there are some glitches like:

1. The blue © icon doesn't show up in the system tray enough though the program is loaded. But it does scan automatically, but I don't have access to the controls menu to Scan Now, Privacy etc.

2. Defrag doesn't seem to defrag other HDD installed on system. It only does the main C: not, D:, F: etc. To fix this issue I have to install IOBIT Smart Defrag (again another excellent program)

3. Updates, the main version doesn't seem to get updated, I have to install the latest freeware version to get the newest one.

That's about it, I don't know about the theme changing feature as the black theme default works good enough for me looks the best. I've written are review on this program see my link below my sign.

ASC Pro is used on Netbook's, Laptop's, Desktop's, Single, Dual, Quad-Cores with Windows XP Professional SP3 32-bit / MSE 32-bit, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit / MSE 64-bit, and Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit / 64-bit / MSE 32-bit / 64-bit

Hello tipstir,

1. The blue © icon doesn't show up in the system tray enough though the program is loaded. But it does scan automatically, but I don't have access to the controls menu to Scan Now, Privacy etc.

For your trouble, would you kindly please provide us the screenshot of the trouble you got so that we can further help you?

In reply to "Defrag doesn't seem to defrag other HDD installed on system." mentioned in your message, we'd like to tell you that Disk Defragment is only for your system disk to resolve system slowdowns, PC crashes, slow startup and shutdown and sometimes to repair system failures.

3. Updates, the main version doesn't seem to get updated, I have to install the latest freeware version to get the newest one.

Are you using the free version of ASC? You will be asked to download the latest version of ASC if you are using the free version. It is the difference between Free version of Advanced SystemCare and Advanced SystemCare Pro, so we suggest you upgrade to Pro version which is available in Pro version only.

Thanks for your support of IObit.

Hi GIGGSY,

Have you tried playing the same game without Game Booster?

Does it make the same thing without switching to Gaming mode.

You have to be sure that Game Booster is causing it before we investigate deeper.

If GB is causing that, then you have to look for the service responsible for those functions.

Cheers.

Hi Giggsy

Yes - enoskype - to me it sounds more like an over-heating problem.

Type of computer - OS - size (used/unused space in % please) - amount of RAM - M/GHz (cycles per second)?

Cheers

ASC is useless to me due to inconsiderate program development

ASC is useless to me due to inconsiderate program development. When I choose a module for such things as cleaning my registry or cleaning out caches and so forth, I can only see the very tops of the dialog buttons that I need to choose from to do such things a 'cancel' or 'OK' or whatever. I tried reducing the size of my Windows "active window borders" to 1 from my usual 10. I tried choosing normal size fonts rather than large or extra large. I still couldn't read the dialog buttons, which remained truncated just below the tops of the buttons. It may be due to my setting a larger font using the accessibility features of Windows. Whatever...I don't have all day to troubleshoot the problem. I have several alternative applications that do all or more than what ASC does (without all the annoying limitations of the free addition that I have), such as Tuneup Utilities and Tweak. My guess is that the inconsiderate programmers of ASC neglected to code the program so that it will correctly show the dialog buttons regardless of font size. That is indicative of incompetent or unprofessional programmers.

Hi donjensen

An unusual problem

Please give some information as to your computer, OS, settings and so forth - also the ASC settings.

Have you tried a Clean Install?

Cheers

Memory Leak in IObit software

I have found a large discussion of memory leak issues related to IObit software both on this forum and through Google searches. The "memory leak" thread on this forum was closed without any resolution as far as I can tell.

I am using Windows Vista and experience the same type of memory leak issues described on these threads. I might also mention that I am an affiliate who had hoped to make a little extra cash by recommending and driving traffic for increased IObit sales. However, I will only continue to recommend products that work properly. Unfortunately, this is not been my experience - seems like a great product and a great idea! I am not impressed with the treatment that others before me have received when they attempted to report these memory leaks.

If I don't get some help with this issue soon, I will uninstall all IObit from my PC, stop attempting to sell it to others and strongly recommend others not to use your products.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

missing .dll

I installed your software on my home desktop and on my desktop at the church office. Since then, both computers get a popup saying a .dll is missing when I use a certain software.

I have not installed your software on my laptop yet. It allows me to use the same software just fine.

Is there a solution for this.

The desktops did not do this prior to the installation of the software.

Hi Jcdowers

I suppose you have run the program too :-)

Please read Usage of IObit Products - link in my signature!

I think you must have run System Optimize without choosing any items to place in the Ignore List

One possibility is to go to the Restore Center in the program and restore the cleaning changes - please read about it in Usage - - -

Let's try that first and see if this fixes it.

Please send feedback - there are other possibilities.

To give as much information about the problem and your setup as possible is advisable.

Good luck

Cheers

No cleaning of Temp Cache ??

Even after using Advanced System Cleaner I had Gigabytes of useless data in C:\Documents and Settings\Emile\Local Settings\Temp\Cache

Probably it is an unusual folder. But I do not see why the lower folder aren't removed. Also Temp\Cache sound like a storage for temporary files. So why does Iobit keep them there? I was disappointed to find out Iobit is not cleaning these folders and i have to do it by hand :(

Manual Tweaks

This is something that's been missing even in AWC and one of the reasons I find this iobit product incomplete... There is no manual tweaking application (just the automatic "System Optimization" in the scan).

I feel that something like TweakUI ( http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx ) or Ultimate Windows Tweaker ( http://www.thewindowsclub.com/ultimate-windows-tweaker-v2-a-tweak-ui-for-windows-7-vista ) and GIGATweak ( http://7room.net/gigatweaker/ ) for newer systems is a must... While many free alternatives lack this feature some of the concurrent commercial apps have it.

PS: As some other suggestions...

1- Advanced autoplay manager like Autoplay Repair ( http://www.orangeblue.net.ms/ )

2- Option to remove uninstall/backups from service packs and updates like PureRa ( http://raproducts.org/purera.html )

3- Taskbar icons cleaner like Past Icons Flusher ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/piconflusher/ )

4- Advanced startup management like Autoruns ( http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx )

5- Advanced task manager with window identifier (by clicking that window) like Process Explorer ( http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx )

6- Edit Context Menu items internally (without the need to use RegEdit)

PPS: Hope these suggestions are also considered for Iobit Toolbox... Toolbox could also use the "System Optimization" feature from AWC

Dell Resource CD required after cleaning

Something in the process of cleaning my computer has been deleted, as it now asks for the "Dell Resource CD." This is challenging as I'm not sure I still have said resource CD, so I may have to roll back all the repairs completed.

Hi jcfretts,

It has been explained in USAGE of IOBIT PRODUCTS thread that it is a good practice to manually scan for first couple of Repairs.

After rollback, please follow the instructions in the above thread for Scan and Repair.

If rollback doesn't solve it use System Restore at a point before deletion.

I assume that you have System Restore point just before the installation of ASC 3 as ASC 3 asks for it.

Cheers.

Add A Feature 1

STARTUP PROGRAMS

as wew know almost every install brings with it another program that will run at startup

What think is needed is different profiles that will run for different jobs you want to do

this would work well with BOOSTER

it could be done in several ways

1 set the startup set to run next boot (that is have only the the programs start that you need to do a job like play a cetain game OR run distation) you could have as many profiles as you want

2 chose a profile and then have all the programs that are running from te boot up and are not in the profile SHUT DOWN

there is very little done about this - Mike Lin has a STARTUPSELECTOR but it is buggy

if you are going to shut done un-needed processes then it makes sense to shut down un-needed programs

i know that you could right click the items in the system tray but that is time consuming and the only way to get them running agai is to reboot

maybe you ste the profile then re-boot and when finished set the normal profile & re-boot

there ought to be a nice way to do this - haave lots of profiles of the background programs that you want and then have tem running and then return to normal use

just like the booster but stopping un=needed programs for the job in hand

i'm bedridden at present and use a netbook - your booster leys me run my dictation programs but I could better if I could taiior what was actually runing in the system tray and even load what I needed to do the job

see what I mean?:-)

cheers

ADD a FEATURE 2

it wuld be nice if the startups could b delayed a bit when starting so that they don't jam each other up

there are so meny these days all jostling to get in the system tray when you boot up

if they could be delayed out a bit so they did not all try to start at once it the boot up would be smoother

cheers

Dan

SmartRAM feature - please!

Is there any way to automate the deep clean setting (or any setting, actually) in SmartRAM? Whenever I'm at my (Windows 7) computer for a while running and closing various programs, the available RAM gets really low and some of my programs either won't open or they freeze. Although my "Free Physical" RAM shows a high amount, in my windows Resource Monitor it only shows a few hundred MB as available and free (or much less - sometimes even 0), while over 2000 MB is in "standby available". When I deep clean at this point, I can free up over 1500MB of standby memory, and then I can open up programs again.

I've tried to configure task manager to automatically start a deep clean on a schedule, but I can find no way to link it to any specific program, only SmartRAM in general. Of course, when you start SmartRAM, it only opens the program but does not clean anything until you hit the 'GO!' button or right click the icon in the notification area.

I'd like to see a setting to automate a deep clean if possible, and having a Smart Clean automated setting would be nice too. Perhaps options for one, the other, both or none would be possible; with the default of course as being 'none' when installed. You could also choose whether to automate it on a timed theme (such as every hour) or on a critical theme (such as when the available memory hits below 200MB).

Would it be possible to include this in future versions?

The Defrag part of Advance SystemCare

Hi your product is great but the defrag needs some work. It tells me 26 file needs to be defrag but it take 20 mins to defrag them and it shows 70 files during the defrag. i don't get it and it why it false reporting fraged files takes a long time must have a bug in it.:-):-)

Hi sam

Well - have you read Usage of IObit Products?

How much free space do you have - in percentage please.

Minimum 15% free space is recommended.

Do you have 26-70 very large (in the GB bracket) files?

How are your settings.

Do you also have the SmartDefrag program installed (it is totally free)

Cheers
