suggestion re security programs shutdowns

SuperDave has recently been helping me with a problem, certain actions required me to shutdown multiple AV's etc.

Would it be possible to have a tool option to list and stop/start these services

based on the lines of the v1 game booster.

If you think its a good possibity, I also think it shoud be included in Toolbox

Hi NkR

What are your settings please.

Did you install over the top?

If so try a clean install - concept explained in Usage of IObit Products - links in my signature.

Cheers

Hi NkR_2,

Hi lazhero,

Your problem must be caused by compatibility issue with avast!. Here is temporary fix for this problem. Please try it.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi itobe

applied the fix and only the google page is opening. The message 'server connection reset' or something like that is obtained with other sites but opening fine in my pc without systemcare software.

No browing problem in programs such as WMP, Itune, quicktime, etc...

Only specialised internet browsing software are affected.

Sorry man,

How about trying another "Clean Install" of Advanced SystemCare with out using NetworkMon Utilities?

Does the issue remain? So we can exclude whether the installation of ASC or the NetworkMon is the culprit.

Thank you in advanced.

Thank you in advanced.

I only used the Remove.exe from the networkmon-debug.rar without copying the other files to \Program Files\IObit\Advanced SystemCare 3 and now everything works fine:grin:

seems to me like NetworkMon is the culprit.

Bug with "Disk Defragment"

Before I upgraded to Advanced System Care PRO I always had results show-up on the "Disk Defragment" part of the scan. But now, after upgrading to PRO, nothing comes up on the "Disk Defragment" part of the scan. So I used the Disk Defragment utility that is standard with a Windows operating system and there were a lot of fragmented files. So I'm guessing it may be a bug only on the PRO version.

Hi PwnFrnzy

First: have you tried a Clean Install - links in my signature?

Second: Do you have SmartDefrag Installed?

Third: What is your settings in Tools concerning defragment?

Cheers

1) Yes, I have tried a clean install.

2) No, SmartDefrag is not installed.

3) Smart Defragment enabled, Skip Huge Files (over 1GB) was checked, so I unchecked it, and "Perform when fragments exceed" was at 10%, so I changed it to "Always defrag."

*Running to see if it works*

Okay, that seems to have fixed it, found almost 2000 fragmented files.

All I have to do is do it with my desktop computer too and everything should be fixed. Thanks.

Hi PwnFrnzy

Glad to hear it!

Thanks for your feedback.

Your setting there now is like mine except for the level - I have mine at 3% while I saw somewhere that the adverse effect of fragmentation started to rise at a higher level there. I do have SmartDefrag installed though and that option ticked. But I do not use automatic function or scheduled defrag - just run it when I think it needs to be run.

Usually takes less time than having a cup of coffee :-)

Cheers

solbjerg

p.s. 2000 fragments doesn't necessarily mean 2000 files fragmented - can be much lower than that - several fragments from each individual file :-)

Along with my cleaning \program files\&\program files(x86)\ folders according to access time and registry entries suggestion, I also want to suggest cleaning root path of current partition of useless files, like EULA text files and Driver dumps. MS dev tools and most drivers trash it with inactive data..

Also better optimization of services based on usage, and core secure stuff like NETBIOS disable.

Fixing network monitor would also be nice. I'm on pro 7.2 and while other tools show services doing TCP/UDP activity on WAN binded IP networkmon is blank, until a non svchost process does something..

:-x

I have ASC Pro (Ver 3.7.2) installed on two laptops running Vista.

The popups announcing problems fixed by Automated Care will leave

only when clicked. This is extremely annoying for me.

Can the popups be either disabled entirely, or at least, only show

for a few seconds before going away?

If I leave the computer on while I sleep, and the popup stays on

the screen for 6-9 hours, I may eventually have screen burn-in

and see that annoying little box in the lower right corner of my

screen for the life of the computer.

I find no option in the options menus to disable this annoyance.

Thank you,

IObit Automated Update is a memory hog.

Hi

I've had the full version of Advanced System Care V3 for about 10 months or so. A couple months ago, I noticed the pc dragging it's heels for normal tasks and checked the Windows Task Manager to see what was causing the hold-up, and IOBit Automated update was showing as using over 95% of the PC's memory on the processes tab. This is now happening every time that the Automated Update sets itself to run - which means I keep shutting it down as the PC is at a virtual standstill. Is this a known issue? And if not, is there anyway to stop it happening?

My PC is a Dell XPS 710 (duel core, 6400 with 2GB of RAM & a Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX graphics card) running Windows XP MCE V2. I have no other known issues, this is the only program that is hogging the memory.

Hope you can help.

Cheers :)

ASC<WoW

This program has either interferred with or corrupted my World of Warcraft installation. After yet another patch for the Dec 7 release of the Cataclysm expansion I was unable to log in. Before you blame another program or malware know this. I logged out of game to eat. Then came back in and bought and installed ASC pro then after running it tried to log back in to game but couldn't. There are posts on the WoW forums from other people and the only known solution is to wipe this program and clean registry of any traces of IObit. Then run a repair on the game and pray itworks or do a full reinstall of WoW (60gig) Now with over 12,000,000 players I'd be concerned if i were with this company. After this week I'm tipping alot of gamers delete your software as it's not just WoW that is affected.
