Hi brandon336,

So sorry for the situation. Could you please take photos of the error screens so that we can try to locate the issue and help?

Thanks in advance.

There isn't any real 'error messages', windows will simply just not boot properly. I didn't think to take pictures of the time of the index errors or something similar to that (forgot the exact phrases). This is the 'error' screen however - http://imgur.com/O0k4sZE

I press any option from this menu and will get the same outcome, which is - http://imgur.com/ci1i26F

I can move my cursor for approx 10 seconds until it reboots and goes through the same process.

I've tried taking the bios battery out for a minute then placing it back in in case that was the issue, but the same problem.

Hi brandon336,

Concerning the current situation, please try to reinstall your Windows system. :-(

You may find guidance at https://www.winhelp.us/repair-your-computer-in-windows-vista-or-7.html

Yeah, I have to buy a new windows disc to actually use my computer, wow, you're so helpful aren't you! Again, thanks for breaking my computer, I encourage everyone to delete all iobit programmes.

Hi brandon336,

Normally, ASC would not cause such issue. This may be occasional situation that we rarely met such issues. Since the system cannot be loaded now, our specialists could not look into the issue and check whether it is caused by ASC. :-(

However, our specialists will conduct tests on such situation to see whether ASC will cause the issue.

Your understanding is much appreciated. Thanks.

This thread is WAY too long. Need to enable sub topics under this head

This is a General Discussions Topic. It would be expected to be long. Users make the decision to post in this Topic. They can at any time create their own Topic within General Discussions, which would then become a sub-topic.

Hi Daskalos,

Do you mean that the problem remains after you fixed it with ASC? If so, please download the latest ASC 10.1 from http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-SystemCare-Free/3000-2086_4-10407614.html and install it, run a scan and fix to see if it is solved.

If the problem is still there, please send us the screenshot of the scan result.

Moreover, please download the tool from http://testdemo.iobit.com/InfoHelper.exe -> Double click to run this tool on the PC with problem and click 'Save report'. -> After it finishes, you will get a popup window to tell you where the report file IObit_Debug_Info.zip is saved. Click 'OK' button to open that saved folder. -> Send the zipped file to us so that we can get the detailed information to look into.

Thanks in advance.

Would it be possible to include an option to synchronize the computer's time with an Internet Time Server as part of AWC's service?

Yes, You can easily share any kind of data from one computer to another using "NETWORK SHARING" option. It will help you to share data without using internet, you just need to connect 2 or more computers together to share data in between.

IOBit ASC keeps setting my Windows Update to 'automatically install updates'. I don't want this to happen especially as Windows Update then reboots my machine when I don't want it to. I have Updates set off as I hate Bill Gates and his merry men and it is MY computer and not theirs. How do I stop ASC changing my settings?

I am using ASC version 11 free and am running Windoze 7 Ultimate.

Hi Jim,

Please take steps below to stop Advanced System Care from enabling Windows Update service automatically.

Go to Clean & Optimize tab -> tick Security Reinforce only to perform a scan. In the scan result, please right click Windows Update and select Ignore. Then it will not be fixed in future.

Thanks.

Hi maximus22

There are many posts in the Forum regarding this issue.

Unfortunately, various malware/anti-virus companies are on a quest to eliminate all competion.

Sadly it is the customer who suffers.

ASC is perfectly safe. Simply add it to the ignore list of Avast.

Re: cannot disable auto update

You're not the only one with this problem. I'm having the same problem under XP, and have been working with IOBIT through email.

I am having an issue with Iobit Malware Fighter 8. For some reason it seems to think that my hard drive (C:) and my internal DVD Writer (D:) are removable disks. I like the idea that it will check removable USB devices but those 2 types of drives are not removable. I have checked Windows and Windows does not see them as removable (No safely remove option in drop down). I can suppress the message but the product really should be fixed so that I do not need to turn the notification on and off when I do need to see it.

I have used ASC for years. Last year when I updated it(not sure which version), my computer shut down. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and every time I open the program it shuts my computer down and I have to unplug it and plug it back in to start. I tried again recently and it still does the same thing. Any ideas why?

It appears Advanced System Care 14.4.0.275 has a bug in the performance monitor.  It appears to hang the entire system on occasion.  When the system hangs, the only thing that appears to work is the mouse.  But clicking on things does not result in any activity.  Unaware that it was the ASC performance monitor, I first left the ASC performance monitor panel open to the CPU listing.  When the system hung, there were no processes listed in the panel.  Next, I opened both the ASC performance monitor and also the Win Task Manager with processes sorted by CPU.  Next hang, the ASC performance monitor was again blank.  But, according to the Task Manager, the top CPU user was the ASC performance monitor.  The Task Manger display was not updating - it was hung.  But, it hung with the ASC performance monitor on top.  Next test was just turn off the ASC performance monitor.  It's been several days now and no more hanging.

I see that 14.6.0.307 is now available.  I will upgrade and retest.

Sorry for the issue you encountered.

If the issue persists after you test the new version ASC 14.6, please email feedback@iobit.com for further assistance.
