Quarantine option - after scan results - possible ? [YES, for threats]

Recommended Posts

Ran an initial scan and it found 11 bad cookies

In the results window, there was an option button to 'remove' them

I clicked remove and they are gone, and there is nothing in the quarantine tab.

However, what if you'd rather quarantine them instead of remove (in case you need to reverse something)?

Is there such an option ? (Didn't see any in the results window)

Thanks :)

Hi scanreg,

Bad cookies are not quarantined , but removed.

On the other hand, if you have chosen "Quarantine threats when removing them" in Options, then the found threats (not cookies) will be quarantined.

You can delete or restore an item from "Quarantine List" going to Quarantine section in Options.

Cheers.

Quarantine threats when removing them! Works - for threats - not cookies!!

Hi scanreg

Thank you for noticing!

The setting "Quarantine threats when removing them" doesn't seem to work.

(for tracking cookies)

The problem isn't very critical as you will most probably see the threat (cookies) again soon, and then you have the option to place it in the Ignore List if you so desire.

Cheers

p.s. edit - enoskype is right - sorry

Hi sunny

You can't - if you do not want them in the ignore list your only option is to delete them from there. (in order for them not to be ignored anymore)

They will then show up in a later scan perhaps and you can decide to clean them or to ignore them again :-)

I am carefully going to check next time anything comes up.

now i have two items in ignore how do i cancell the ignore without deleting the two files concerned, they were false positives.

Hi guys,

I think the terminology should have been "Remove from Ignore List" instead of "Delete", as solbjerg points out deleting from ignore list is actually, not ignoring it anymore.

Cheers.

EDIT:I am going to change it in my translation.

I agree, Delete is very confusing (been there, done that)

Hopefully the new version will have that change in it

All the best, woz of oz
