Registery defrag not working -- Safe or regular mode

I have attemped several times to run Registry defrag on XP machine in regular or safe mode with no luck..

 

Runs to @ 90% then hangs, then looks like it want to start again.

 

In safe mode nothing extra should be running.

 

Any ideas?
