+ Added support for solid-state disk

Hi jelrikj,

Thank you very much! That is the exact update log right?

I did not install it yet because I am currently at school working on my Film project.

It is now 6:30AM, and I haven't slept yet. =(

Can you also tell me the size of "IObit SmartDefrag.exe" in your Smart Defrag folder?

Cheers.

Two changes I am not happy with!!!

Changing the function of the button in Report from -Close- to -Defrag- is not a good change, as it starts the advised defrag without giving a chance to choose the defrag method unless you close the Report window by (X) at the top right.

Also changing the allocated places for "Total Files and Dirs" and "Fragmented Files and Dirs" on the main GUI is not a good move, as the second line is under the first one instead of the side (Although it is as before for certain languages written in short lines.), and it was better in the old version when you shorten "Turn off computer after defragment" for example to " Turn off PC after defrag".(In translated languages of course)

Cheers.

Unecessary Improvement

Regarding support for SSD's,the general consensus is that SSD's do not require defrag, and should not be due to sooner expiration of their "write time".Take a look here and here.Though fragmentation exists on a SSD,it's ability to read data from multiple points simultaneously negates the need for conventional defragmentation software.

Hi guys,

You could have both type of main drives plus flash drives.

The support is just for this purpose, so you can choose the option of not seeing/showing SSD and flash drives for defragmentation.

I wouldn't say it is an unnecessary improvement for the sake of SSD and Flash Drives.

If anybody is thinking of having an SSD drive in 2010, please read SSD Benchmark Tests: SATA IDE vs AHCI Mode 13 pages article.

Cheers.
