Hi occasional,

The same thing have been reported before, but the poster did not respond to IObit Support Team. Please read post #s 258, 259, 260, and 261 in How to report False Positive to us? thread.

Post #5, How to send the file to IObit if necessary, in Guidelines and Requirements for Reporting a False Positive thread explains how to upload the suspected files to third party web sites including www.2shared.com and www.wikisend.com.

I believe, it is a good practice for the users with suspected false positives, to read that thread.

Please also upload the files to VirusTotal and post the link to their reports of the files.

This is all explained in Guidelines and Requirements for Reporting a False Positive thread.

BTW, you have not responded to hxin from IObit Support Team in THIS thread of yours.

Cheers.

Hi, i paste the answer of nod32 v 4.2 of false positive detected by iobit360

Update for Case #488727 - "nod 32 4.2 troyan infected (egui.exe and ekrn.exe)"

An ESET Customer Care Representative has updated this case with the following information:

Hi,

We can confirm it's a false positive from IObit software. On a clean XP machine, we have installed EAV v4.2 and IObit Security 360 and we get the same results:

Fraudtool.Hijack, Registry Key, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\egui.exe, 4-23221

Fraudtool.Hijack, Registry Key, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\EKRN.exe, 4-23223
