Is the Disk Defragmenter located in the ASC Diagnose System the same as the Smart Defragmenter located in the tune up section?

Not quite!

The one in Diagnose System runs a defrag scan in just defrag mode.

The one you see in the additional tools is actually a link to the Smart Defrag program that will offer your that program for free - you get some more options that way - ultimate defrag for one - that is if you don't already have the program - in which case it just opens the Smart Defrag program.

If ASC is still comming up with spyware problems that repetidly come up and dont remove, you might want to try another program. One that is very good and free is Spybot, which you can get here:
