What is the best free virus program?

I have avira but the updates are kinda slow.

 

is there anything better than what I have?

 

I like to download music from limewire, so is avast the way to go for that?

 

P.S. Why did they push back AVC 3 again?

 

This must be hard for them to figure out.

I use AVG free edition and I like it well and it updates most of the time daily and also has a high user rating.

I have used avast in the past and it is also a good anti virus program but avg has the most updates.

I have heard Avast is quite good, but I have been using AVG free for quite some time now. Far fewer problems than with some of the name pay ones!

Pretty much what they said. I use Avast, but you can't go wrong with either AVG or Avast. They're so close in capabilities you can base your choice on personal preference.

I use Avast and love it. No problems what so ever. However, although it is free, you do need to register it once a year (need an email account to do so). I have used avira, but in my opinion, was too slow and not as good as avast. As for AVG, I have used it in passing, but nothing stood out to warrant its use. But to each their own.
