Even "don't do unto others what you don't want them to do unto you" can be problematic if this is seen from another perspective.

Yes - I remember once carrying my youngest child down a slippery rocky slope - she was under 2 years old at the time. - I slipped and automatically tried to break my fall with my hands and consequently dropped her (luckily) in some brush (heather) beside the track.

I vowed to myself that I wouldn't do that again - but a minute or two later the same thing happened - and my reaction was the same.

(nothing happened to her - she didn't even cry)

my 9 year old came home form school one day went to mom said a boy beatup me up took lunch , mom went ape , went to school talked to teachers ect,

next day the boy did the same again ,

so kid came to me said what do i do ?

 

I told her to knee him in the croch , and punch him in the face.

 

the boy never bothered her again lol and she learned a good leason talking dose not laways work , and mom cant fix everything lol so sometimes a girl has to do what it takes to , sort out her own problems,, lol

To get back on track I will say that following forum rules is quite easy.

 

If you criticize a program or an application please be sure of your facts to the extent it is possible for you.

(If you have a possible solution to the problem it will be gratefully recieved)

 

If you criticize a post please do it in a calm and polite manner - no "offensive" words!

(A better solution or assistance will be applauded by all)

 

If you feel you have the right to criticize a person you must do it very, very politely - with the use of no name-calling and with the utmost decorum.

(But mark my words: This should be avoided in almost all cases)

 

If you are asking for help you should also do that in a polite manner - and remember to give as much pertinent information as you can about the nature of the problem and the environment it occurs in.

 

A feedback of the outcome of the assistance is very much appreciated.

 

And to make it as easy to find as possible please post in the appropriate forum.

and if it was not taken the way it was posted ()no malice intended cant straiten it out there on the spot.as it has already been siad in print.

Yes, if you are standing next to a person you are addressing - your remarks are usually just directed to that person and it is easy from the person's reaction or facial expression to discern if you have rubbed the person the wrong way and then quickly modify your expressions or the tone of your voice or apologize.

Not so in the written form - it just stands there as if carved in stone - and it is for all to see and not just the person you are addressing. Therefore it is much more important to think before replying if you are doing it in the written form.

well its all now understood.how we should post.i think we now should start new.

i believe its time to forget the past.allow Gary back.and post,i think he and I have been told how to post,i know deep down he certainly meant no harm.

i think its time to let go of the old identity .as its now a different forum.and my attitude has now taken a big turn around.and feel itsmejjj its now obsolete and

as i myself will be posting very carefully in what i post and answer i feel i need a other personalty .avatar.

i used this identity for a fair while and did let it known to a few members it was I .not hiding the fact

now to make it known to all members.this is my new brand new start..

i dearly love the forum.and want to change my image as a responsible poster.

i have given my location as well its time to stop the funny stuff

makes no difference really its a huge place i live Near the mining town called MOE .in the outskirts .we have a farm (land) 100 hectares .with high mountains behind us and see Moe as we look down at it.surrounded by pines

and further up we can see the river,its very hilly and beautiful allways green.

we are surrounded be mining fields ,that we can see at distance .well there you have it

as i stated no more funny stuff .we try hard to be very good at what we do.

garybear was given another go and last chance after his 14 Day Ban had expired but he did not behave

 

Here is the sequence of events, I hope it explains the situation adequately and we can then move on.

 

When the original 14 Day Ban period had expired garybear was once again a member of this forum, he was active on the forum the day his ban was lifted but he did not post in the forum.

He sent a PM which included the draft of a post he wanted to submit to the forum, this draft explained he would not be rejoining the forum and said goodbye to his friends but also contained remarks that I felt were designed to cause disruption in the forum.

 

On the second day garybear posted a reply in this thread which indicated he had sent PMs to his friends but garybear also added remarks that I felt were designed to cause disruption in the forum. These remarks convinced me that garybear had no intention of just saying goodbye and leaving peacefully.

Also, considering these two attempts at causing disruption, I felt there was a very good chance that garybear would post again in the future in an attempt to once again cause disruption in the forum.

 

The harmony of the forum is dependent on the input of the members, I did what I thought was best for harmony in the forum.

I deleted the post and I gave garybear (and Okie) a Permanent Ban.

 

I guess some of you might be upset by me doing this, and if so, I apologise for upsetting you
