Thank you for you info.

You can open "My Computer", type "%appdata%" (No Quotes) and Enter, then find "IObit" folder, Game Booster.ini is in "Game Booster 2" folder.

Cheers.

OK.

Here it is (I have Windows 7-64)

I noticed below "Language=ChineseSimp" My language is USA and that's what shows up. If I click on the "language" section upper right on GB2 interface, I get your web page not an option to change settings.

Hi banhmi,

Please check the below registry Data for:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\WaitToKillServiceTimeout

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\WaitToKillServiceTimeout

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\WaitToKillServiceTimeout

They should be REG_SZ Type with Data value 5000, if not change them to REG_SZ type and 5000 data value.

See if the GB2 error is repeated.

Cheers.

Hi Dutu40,

Search your Registry Editor for MaxConnectionsPerServer by typing regedit to Run... and clicking Enter in your Start menu.

See if there are Data values there with REG_DWORD Type, and post them here.

This types of errors seems to have the common denominator, Dual Core.

Cheers.

Game Booster 2 Beta Driver Updates

Using Windows 7 ultimate, removed previous version of Game Booster and installed Game Booster beta 2.

On Scanning for 'game drivers', I have listed one driver that needs updating, in my case it is the Intel wifi card in the system, I follow the instructions to update, im'e taken to the intel web site and run the appropriate update. to be certain I reboot my computer, games booster beta 2 still shows this driver as needing to be updated. I have checked for driver updates via control panel, system management, devices, drivers and I am told the driver is up to date.

I recon this is a bug, gamebooster not seeing updates correctly.

Game Booster 2 Beta

Using Windows 7 ultimate, removed previous version of Game Booster and installed Game Booster beta 2.

there are services that can be closed that do not show up in the list of services, in the previous version there was a parameter file/ ini file that could be manually updated this seems to have disapeared in version 2, also the beta 2 closes windows live essentials which is the anti virus software provided by microsoft, not a good idea when playing online games in my case Battlefield 2.

I recon this is a bug, gamebooster not seeing all services correctly.

Hi fragsnipa,

Yours is more like banhmi's.

Please have a look at post #30 in this thread.

Cheers.

yup ok find the i fix the correction

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\WaitToKillServiceTimeout

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\WaitToKillServiceTimeout

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\WaitToKillServiceTimeout

hey should be REG_SZ Type with Data value 5000,

Dont have controlset002. I have controlset001 and controlset003 so change all values to 5000. There is option that has hexidecimal and decimal. Hexidecimal is check leave that alone right. Oh yeah the WaitToKillServiceTimeout type is REG_DWord does that make a big difference. ANyway i change the value went back to game booster and got the same errors:-(

ugh!

i'm not sure if this is a bug, BUT ive noticed this beta version seems to react to SmartDefrag as an "unnecasary" application. when i was cheacking out what it would de-activate when i put it in game mode. i was a little stunned :!:

nothing big. but i was wondering if its a bug or not. cause i think its and essential application to run O.O. ever sense i been using it my computer runs even faster! wich is great because my vista sux :-( but anyway is this normal? and can you fix it?.

Hi energetic

I don't think it is a bug, after all you do not want automatic defrag while playing a game? - and the program usually don't start an automatic defrag unless the computer is idle, right?

In my opinion it makes good sense to ensure that an automatic defrag isn't started by mistake, quite apart from the resources that would be needed for that operation - they are now available for your playing experience :-)

Cheers

Hi Dutu40,

Search your Registry Editor for MaxConnectionsPerServer by typing regedit to Run... and clicking Enter in your Start menu.

See if there are Data values there with REG_DWORD Type, and post them here.

This types of errors seems to have the common denominator, Dual Core.

Cheers.

Here are the results, but they are strange, i clicked on edit>find>MaxConnectionsPerServer i did something wrong?

OK Dutu40,

Download and run TCP Optimizer 305.

Choose your Connection Speed under General Settings tab, check Modify All Network Adapters, choose Optimal radio button, click Apply Changes button.

Under Advanced Settings tab, choose Optimal radio button, click Apply Changes button.

This should create the concerned Registry entries.

Restart the PC and use the Registry Editor, find MaxConnectionsPerServer again, they should be there, and try Game Booster2's optimization.

See if this stops the error!

Cheers.

GB2 Beta glotches

I an running W7 64 bit, and use this new computer with Nvidia 480 cards and plenty horsepower, use this only for Flight Sim X, ............I installed the Beta 2, and then checked the drivers, it said I needed two new Realtec sound drivers, so I downloaded and one would not install, then the Beta stopped..........after a defrag and reboot, it did start but still showed one driver missing............I put it on "Game Mode", and started FSX, IT TOOK FOREVER TO LOAD, went back to normal and loaded faster............did the same install of FSX with GB1 and that also seems to load slow when in the GAME MODE..............not sure if anything here will help, but maybe??................probably best to uninstall and wait for the final version??.........this is a good idea for a program so hope it does get fixed..........B42L8

Ok here is my Screen SHot

http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/1006/waittokillservice.jpg

hey enoskype have you took a look at my screenshot.

waittokillservice type is REG_DWORD, you need to put in REG_SZ

Delete that one, New->String->WaitToKillServiceTimeout->Value 5000
