smartphone apps

i am new to smartphones just got htc desire with android ver 2.2 anyone recommend any useful apps.

 

only got a few apps but like the google voice control for searching the net and replacing the keyboard to send texts etc.

Hi Sunny, I don't even have a smartphone so I can't help you with any recommendations but since you are new to smartphones I just wanted to mention a help forum that I have been a member of for many years (wozofoz there too)

It is the BrightHand Forum and the members there are very helpfull and friendly.

thanks prior to last week only knew how to answer and dial on a basic mobile, now learning a whole new world.

I can recommend you to download Garmin maps to install them instead the default. Here you'll be able to make the route WITHOUT internet connection and that's cheaper as you've understood. I've done it with my Nokia smartphone because my Nokia maps were not very detailed and now I enjoy 3d garmin maps.

I would get a back up program for your phone, I use My Back Up Pro. Backs up all your apps in case you have to do a factory reset, saved me a few times. Titanium backup is also a good backup program.
