Lost much disk Space after Fast Optimize

Hi, I've used Smart Defrag for a year or two now and never had any problems. However I've only ever used the "Only Defrag" option since I wasn't that bothered about performance and I didn't want it to take forever. However I recently installed 1.50 and as a result accidently ended up peforming a fast optimize instead. I figured what the hell and let it run:

 

Before I started I had approximately 49Gb of free space out of 222GB. Now I have 22.2GB of free space.

Can anyone tell me what's going on please?

Can you try Windows' own defragmenter once and see if the glitch is solved please.

Did you recently put 'Backup' type files on that drive? (Windows 'Backup')

Similar thing happened to me, when SD got to the Backups. :roll:

Enoskype, I tried what you said but it made no difference.

I had another search on google and it said to check the system restore usage. That had gone through the roof! It was like 60GB even though it was set to max 33GB (15%).

Cleared some of my restore points and now its fixed :)

Is 'restore-point' data similar to 'backup' file data?

(the way SD handles them, that is)

Therefore both may really be the Same problem area?
