Automatic Un-Boost

Hello,

I have the actual version of Game Booster (2.0) installed on Windows XP Professional SP3.

I have not registered yet, I am still evaluating.

I defined a list of processes and applications to be terminated in the gaming mode.

When I activate the gaming mode, all those applications are terminated.

If I de-activate the gaming mode then those applications are started again.

So Game Booster works fine here.

I dragged the icon of a game into the game box.

Starting the game out of the game box also enabled the gaming mode (all applications, services and processes are closed.

Perfect.

But when I exit the game, nothing happens.

No processes are restored.

Game Booster is still in gaming mode and does NOT restore the processes, services and applications.

And YES, in the preferences there is the option "Game Box -> Automatically go back to normal mode after closing all games" checked.

And YES, I gave Game Booster some time to start the applications and services (the time I needed to post this topic).

In the list of features you get when you register there is no info that restoring the normal mode is only possible in the registered version.

So what is wrong?

What data do you need to solve this problem?

Greetings

Hi OLLI_S,

Some times checking a check box, applying, then unchecking again and applying corrects such problems.

Please try unchecking and applying and then checking and applying "Automatically go back to normal mode after closing all games" checkbox.

Start the game from gamebox and then stop it and see if it works.

Restart of PC sometimes help too.

It is NOT an ONLY Premium function.

Cheers.

Hello,

no, none of the described solutions did not work.

I went to the "Options -> Game Box" and un-checked "Automatically go back...".

I saved the settings (Apply) and closed the options window.

Then I went to the Options and checked "Automatically go back..." again.

Also restarting my system after that did not work.

When I start a game out of the game box, Game Booster boosts the system.

But after closing the game, Game Booster is still in "Game Mode: On" mode.

Is there any data you need?

Does Game Booster create debug logs?

Greetings

hi Olli

Sometimes a real closing of the computer is better. Close it - wait 30 seconds and then start the computer again.

That way you make sure it gets a fresh start, - sometimes settings and items in RAM can survive during a common restart, I think.

Cheers

Hello,

I was out on a business trip for 3 days.

So my PC was turned of 70 hours.

By the way: I am a computer expert and programmer.

So this trick is one of the first things that I do.

So, what now?

Do you need any debug logs or other info?

I have Windows XP Professional SP3.

Greetings

;53143']Would you kindly tell us which game it is?

Does the game contain a launcher?

and did you try Other games to see if Game Booster restores to Normal mode after the game closes?

Hello,

the game is an Role Playing Game called "Two Worlds II".

This game does not have a launcher, the shortcut launches the file "TwoWorlds2.exe".

I have the trial version of Game Booster, so I just can drag one game into the game box.

If I select "Restore Shortcuts" then the icon of "Two Worlds 2" is moved back to the desktop.

But then I can not drag any other icon into the game box.

Just the icon of Two Worlds 2 is accepted.

This is a limitation of the trial version.

Greetings
