Why no Taskbar Icon in BG2 registered?

When I run BG2, there is no icon in the Taskbar to revert to. I do get what looks like a reduced window in the lower left corner of the screen with "FormMainFloat" on it (it's movable). If I right click on it, it has the options I am looking for.

BTW, I have my Taskbar on top of the screen, not at the bottom.

Could someone explain this bug and is it being resolved on the next build.

OK, I had to reinstall GB2 (because I installed 1.6 to help this guy http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?t=8529&page=2).

My Taskbar icon is back.

I know others have experienced what I described above so something in it's use is causing this to happen.

Ok, 2 days of this working and my Taskbar icon is gone again and the reduced window looking thing has replaced it in the LLHC of my screen.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Is a solution planed for the next version in December?
