Schedule task window strangeness

Recommended Posts

SmartDefrag Version beta4.03. The Schedule task window shows the defrag method for each volume. In the options box below, there is an action listed. It will either say Defrag or Defrag_optimize. When you click on this, a dialog box opens with the radio button choices of Optimize Defrag and Full Defrag. So, between this last dialog box, the options box and the list of volumes, there are three sets of names for the two options that can be scheduled. It seems that express, Defrag, and Optimize defrag mean the same thing, while Optimize, Defrag_Optimize, and Full Defrag all mean the same thing. I am going to declare that there should be no guessing or supposing. Tell us clearly, please, what the options are, and decide on their names. After that, it would be really helpful to explain the difference between the options--like, Full Defrag defragments all of your files and puts them at the beginning of the hard drive. The Express option only defrags the files--or whatever it really does. Did anyone else see this?

If you take a look in the ISD folder you will find a file called "What's new" or something like that.

They took out the optimize option for the time being, and will put it back when they have ironed out some bugs.

Cheers
