W7 x64 SmDefrag will not Auto Start.

Just installed Smart Defrag on my windows 7 x64 system.

After setting up auto defrag and other settings, including auto run at startup, I noticed that the program will not start and will not stay in system tray.

I can manually start the program and close it, but it will again not go to the system tray, however the exe is still running in Processes Tab.

 

If I kill that task and restart SmDefrag, then the program will close to system tray, and work as normal.

 

Until I reboot.

 

Is there a x64 bit version of Smart Defrag?

Is this a but specific to a x64 bit OS?

 

Program works perfect on my other x32 Win7 PC.

I remember someone reporting having this problem, somewhere in this Forum, before, but don't remember where.

Seems like it was about Not having Administrator rights set up for logged-in user or that the Security software was blocking SD from running in Auto.

If no one else gives a better answer you may want to check those two areas.

Uninstalled, and installed v2 Beta 1. Seems to work fine now.
