Renewing Pro License - Lost 1 month

I had a one-year license for the 3-pc bundle

 

I had about a month left on the existing license

 

I then renewed for another year and then installed the new license

 

However, it now says I have just 365 days

 

What happened to the one month I had left on the first license?

 

Do I have to wait til the last second of the last day to get the full value of a license?

 

Would be nice if the renewed license would just add to the existing time
