smartram and PF usage in taskmanager

Hi there,

 

I found out that after a longer period of time (a day or so) using smartram it looks like the pagefile usage increases. If you look at the windows taskmanager in the field "PF usage" and you close smartram, I see a "decrease" of hundreds of megabytes so actually that should be an improvement after closing smartram. I'm not sure but could this behaviour be the result of smartram trying to flush memory to the pagefile ?

 

anyone see the same in their taskmanagers ?

Thats correct, but closing Smartram is not an improvement to the PC assumig that you have enough sized PageFile, because the main function of PageFile is holding of dumped flushed memory.
