Recommended Posts

Counter strike source works ok on my Hp Pavillion dv6-2150us. But L4d2 is very laggy. I just download GameBooster but it doesnt seem very helpful at all. Here's my spec http://oi56.tinypic.com/1555f6r.jpg

Intel Core i3-330M Processor (2.13 GHz, 3 MB L3 Cache)

4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 DIMM) (expandable to 8 GB)

320GB (7200RPM) Hard Drive (SATA), LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support

Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, * Up to 4.25 Hours of Battery Life

15.6" Diagonal High-Definition LED HP BrightView Display (1366x768), Intel HD Graphics with up to 1696MB Total Available Graphics Memory

Also you can go to amazon to see my laptop. Here's the link http://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-DV6-2150US-15-6-Inch-Laptop/dp/B00318CG9G/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1297040600&sr=8-2

I just want to play this game smoothly...please help!!! Thnx in advance.

Hi Ghost

Generally the better your computer are, the less benefit you will gain from GameBooster, I think.

There could though be the setting of power, - do you run it on batteries - if so try to run it plugged in.

Cheers

Ghost1412,

I'm a 1,500 hour+ L4D/L4D2 player (fanatic).

Game Booster 2 helps me.

AMD 6000

Nvidia GTX 460 (1 gig)

4 Gig's

32" HDTV (OMG it's wonderful)

Common sense tells me the more memory (or less resources) the better for gaming. More is always better when it relates to memory.

Temporarily shutting down these un-needed services/processes also reduces conflicts with my games.

It's also true the the lower end systems benefit most from GB'er.

How can you go wrong for $5.00?

Added: In L4D2 settings, try turning off "multi-core rendering" and see if your lag is reduced.
