Smart Defrag V2 Win7 Autostart

Hello, I have got a big problem with smart defrag v2.

It doesn´t autostart while windows 7 64bit login.

Could somebody please tell me the registry item to make smart defrag autostart?

If it will help, here it is below.

 

It runs through Task Scheduler in Win 7 x32.

I'm not sure about your terminology?

A check-box must be ckecked for SD to load at Windows 'Start-up' (bootup),

But I don't think there is a way to schedule it to load or run at a 'Login',

(Startup and Login may not be at the same time, even though they can be)

Yes, I´d like to use this windows-startup-check-box in SD to load the program, but everytime I check it and then return to the check box it is unchecked again. In fact, I can´t check it. What ´s the solution. I´ve read in a forum to previously install SD version 1.1 and then overwrite it with version 2.0. Do you know where I can find SD version 1.1 ? Or can you help me in another way?

Can it be that you are not logged in as Windows Adminstrator?

(maybe as a Guest)

And Windows won't let you make changes to Registry?

I set it to 1 minute for testing purposes

By me it remembers the settings in both places!

Hello,

yes, these settings are stored correctly.

But the check-box

Settings->General Settings-> "X" Load automatically at Windows startup (Recommended)

doesn´t work. You can check it, return to SD, go to settings again and the check box is unchecked.

Not very nice. Every time I would like to use SD I will have to start it manually.

Please post the content of your Config.ini file @

 

C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Roaming\IObit\Smart Defrag 2 or Smart Defrag

 

You have to unhide the hidden files in your Folder Options to see that file.

In W-7 64bit, I think the path to the config.ini is something like:

C:\$Windows.~Q\Data\Users\{user name}\AppData\Roaming\IObit\Smart Defrag 2\config.ini

 

And the contents of $Windows.~Q folder are Hidden.

(to Un-hide them go to $Windows.~Q folder's 'properties' and remove check from Attributes: Hidden box)

Please try clean install the latest Smart Defrag V2.01 and then check if you still have this problem. :-P
