Trying to load SP2 for Vista - Possible Hijack problem

I am getting a common error that seems to have a very uncommon fix when trying to load the SP2 to my HP machine with Vista Home Premium 32 bit. I was told that I could have a hijack or malware problem that is not letting the update go thru. I downloaded IObit Security 360 and ran thru everything and now I am at the Hijack Scan. To my surprise this is not something that I can fix with the puch of a button and it is for advanced users. I need help with this list. How do I go about getting this help. Anyones help is much appreciated in advance. Sean
