Just a quick run through.

• Old data not cleaned on install such as schedules and services
  
• ASCService.exe still runs when no idle configurations(most likely because of above)
  
• Privacy Sweep in toolbox can't clean these(FF4 not running)

Both FF 3 and 4 cache page data inside active profiles, in the cache folder. They also internally rename it and associate it. That's just cache page data. Configuration and other stuff are stored in INI and portable SQL databases in the top-level profile directory. It detects these entires for that reason, but doesn't clean them.

I suppose Privacy-sweep don't know what to do with Firefox stuff? :grin:

I see that Firefox is not in the selectable settings of PS, but IE is.

 

So, there is not much data left behind, filling up the HD?

Mainly just empty folders, which can be cleaned with another Toolbox utility called 'Empty Folder Scanner'?

I can select it in Tool Box>Privacy Sweep. The thing I sometimes wonder is what versions Internet Booster and PS are fully supportive of. Like they've changed and added a lot of networking variables and flags over just the last year, and do they really adjust to selective bandwidth?

I´m using bleachbit because privacy sweeper do not clean my profile and that is because iobit privacy sweeper can´t be used if you haven´t got admin rights. And I´m using normally account that has only user rights

The only way around it is to add read/write access for the group ASC runs as, or to run ASC as admin or your privladge group. Look at what groups can read write to the folder.

 

It's SYSTEM, Administrators, and any Admin level Account name by default in vista/7.

 

A lot of stuff won't work without admin level.
