I ran a virus scan using Comodo internet Security and it reported this

(tojware.Win32.TrojenDownloader.Agent.~16594959)

so i quarantined it. When i tried to use recovery in Win7 restore it would not work and said that this virus in Comodo Av quarantine Downloads\iobit_toolbox.zip Toolbox.exe was the cause.

So whats going on here.

Hicragger, welcome to IObit forum!

Please report to Comodo, it must be a false positive by them.

Check the file in VirusTotal, and give a link to the analysis report here.

If you don't get response from Comodo , please send a PM to Cicely.

Cheers.

I read on a review site that IObit's 'Beta Malware-Fighter' borrows Comodo's Virus-list database.

If that is true, it seems strange that IObit's Toolbox software is not on Comodo's White-list?

Well i have downloaded ASC 4, four times on majorgeek 2 times on the 2nd majorgeek link all was ok no AV alarms going off, then 2 times on the Internode (Australia) Link And Guess what, AV alarms bells and whistles galore were going off so there we have it. And it was in toolbox .exe

Cragger,

What is the URL address for the Internode website?

I found a Internode in Australia but could not find anything about ASC on that website.

The IObit, MajorGeeks and CNet websites are the only ones I would trust for that download anyway.

Did you run the 'VirusTotal' website Scan on the Toolbox.exe file? (link in Enoskype's post above)

That is a very good and easy way to determine if it is a false-positive or not.

Since you are the only one reporting this, only you can determine where the problem is, by testing the file with other virus-software, and then report your findings to the proper website.

It is clean!

OK guys, I did it for you!

The download link for asc4-setup.exe (ASC4 Beta3.0) from MajorGeeks' Australian mirror ftp server (Internode) is:

(ftp://majorgeeks.mirror.internode.on.net/allinone/asc4-setup.exe) .

I downloaded it and since it is greater than 20 MB, divided into 3 compressed part as below:

1) asc4-setup.part1.rar

2) asc4-setup.part2.rar

3) asc4-setup.part3.rar

Here are the links to VirusTotal reports for each of them:

1) VirusTotal asc4-setup.part1.rar report link

File name: asc4-setup.part1.rar

Submission date: 2011-04-17 17:31:19 (UTC)

Current status: finished

Result: 0 /40 (0.0%)

2) VirusTotal asc4-setup.part2.rar report link

File name: asc4-setup.part2.rar

Submission date: 2011-04-17 17:45:20 (UTC)

Current status: finished

Result: 0 /40 (0.0%)

3) VirusTotal asc4-setup.part3.rar report link

File name: asc4-setup.part3.rar

Submission date: 2011-04-17 17:51:37 (UTC)

Current status: finished

Result: 0 /42 (0.0%)

Comodo (version: 8377 - dated: 2011.04.17) included, and they are all clean.

Cheers.
