Trouble viewing websites after clean using ASC4

Recommended Posts

After running a deep scan and repair with ASC4 (free), I am no longer able to use Chrome to browse the web, because when I do, all of the websites appear large and out of place...as if the CSS for webpages is being ignored or something. The sites look normal in IE, but not in Chrome. Also in Chrome, when I go to google.com, the google picture does not appear (just the red X). I tried to "restore" what ASC4 did, and even tried a system restore, and no luck. Any ideas? Thanks!

IObit may need to think about creating another Forum section Just for Chrome and Firefox users, since that seems to be a wide spread Conflect and settings problem area of concern ?

I suppose it could be labled:

'Oddball software for Oddballs', or something like that.

Sorry about that! ;-):-D

Just sweeping download history shouldn't cause this. It's another bug that needs fixed.

Yeah, I really don't see how that would help.

I guess my bigger concern is that the rollback didn't seem to undo the changes that the program made. I don't see what good rollback does if it doesn't undo everything it did and put it back to the way it was before.

This happened on my work computer too, but that was before my desktop. Now I know for sure there is something with ASC4 that is causing problems. I had to image my entire work PC because I was unable to access mapped drives on the network after running ASC4, which in turn, somehow made it so System Restore could not restore to a prior restore point. The IT guys at the company had no choice but to image it.

This is most likely the result of a chrome configuration change. I think optimization still alters TCP/IP settings under the active connection too.

Hey, you are the guys with the problem, Not me!

I was just trying to offer a helpful suggestion.

If you organize everyone's questions and suggestions in one place,

maybe those with "other" Browser problems can work out a solution,

that will be quick and painless?

I have enough complications in my life without Adding "other" Browsers.
