Whats this virtual desktop?

Recommended Posts

I think it basically runs the game in another virtual workspace so you can switch back and forth between it and your regular desktop with applications on it.

On a side note, it seem impossible to get any help in this forum I posted a question about the virtual desktop feature a week ago and no replies yet.

Hi Toppack

IObit is based in Chengdu - close to where the great earthquake was - and I am rather sure that all the programmers are very good in the Chinese language. :-)

Cheers

I've wondered about that also,

but we may have to 'take a trip' to Shanghai, China

to ask the programmers.

Hi Toppack

About 2700$ for a round trip from Dallas to Chengdu with 1 week stay and hotel included, I think. :-)

What the rates are for a translating guide I do not know. ;-)

Chengdu is an old city and about the fourth largest in China I think, - it is situated almost smack in the middle of China.

Have a nice time there!! :-)

Cheers

p.s. about virtual desktops - a fair explanation is offered here:

Okay, Thanks for the Info,

but I Really wanted to go to Shanghai. I've heard It's a Fun place to visit.

I'm wondering how much an airplane ticket to Chengdu will Cost.

Hi Toppack

Some years ago - I think it was just after AWC changed to ASC - I had trouble with one of the functions in the program - I think it was one of the sut_ functions - don't remember which one and described the problem to one of the IObit members of the forum. He had one of their programmers take a look at it and contact me by mail, this nice fellow asked me some pertinent questions and I answered as best I could. Next day or the day after that I got a mail where he said that he thought he had found the problem and then he sent me a new file to replace the sut_ function - and voila then it worked. Shortly after that they replaced the setup file for ASC with a new version. This programmer told me that I was his first "pen-pal" and that most of the programmers were too unsure of their English to want to write in that language much. He did fine though - not perfect but ok.

You cannot expect the same service extended to the millions of users -that would require too much resources - they had at that time already made me an "Administrator" so I guess I got the VIP treatment. Thanks!

Cheers

Yes, IObit programmers very seldom, if ever, reply to questions and suggestions on this Forum,

but they Do seem to read or somehow recieve information from this website.
