How to pre-empt deletion of earlier version of favorite program, still in use.

(Using Win XP sp3 on a Toshiba Satellite A-105 laptop.)

 

When I upgraded my music publishing program Sibelius 5 to Sibelius 6, I kept the earlier version because various audio/visual settings would have had to be recalibrated to accommodate Sib5 project files.

 

I've tried Adv. System Care on a netbook, and was impressed enough to use it to clean/maintain my Toshiba Satellite. However, I first need assurances that ASC will not automaticaly delete the earlier version of Sibelius (exe, dll, etc. etc.), still in active use. Do I need to tinker with any settings in ASC to achieve this?
