FriendFinder Networks Whitelist Request/Procedure

Recommended Posts

Greetings IObit Forums,

I'm an employee for FriendFinder Networks, and recently we received reports that one of your software products, IObit Malware Fighter, was blocking some of the content on our websites, rendering them non-functional.

Our team has been attempting to make contact with IObit through their email feedback system, located at this link:

http://www.iobit.com/onlinesupport.html

However, over the last weeks and repeated attempts to make contact, we've not received any replies.

I am making this post on the IObit Forum, which I understand the rules state are responded to by members and not employees, in an attempt to get the following information in the right direction and responded to by IObit developers if possible.

Currently, we are looking for the process/procedure to obtain Whitelisting with IObit Malware Fighter security software for our websites under the FriendFinder Networks family, and are willing to have our developers consult with yours to figure out why we're being blocked, as well as to avoid/remove any further blocking of our content in the future.

Please feel free to respond when convenient to this profile here through Private Messages or through other acceptable means so that we may obtain the necessary information to be Whitelisted with IObit Malware Fighter.

If there is any other steps or information we may assist you with in moving this forward, please let us know.

Regards,

Hello Christopher,

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Please kindly note that IObit Malware Fighter does not block FriendFinder.com. It might be caused by a bug in current IObit Malware Fighter. Here is the instruction regarding how to solve this problem.

Thank you much, that resolved it

Thank you for your reply,

Yes, we were able to use the replacement .dll files in question and resolve the issue with IObit Malware Fighter blocking FriendFinder Network websites.

We confirmed this on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit:

Installed IMF Free v. 1.1.1.2, comes with the following definitions: 1044 (2011-7-14) as mentioned above.

Our sites would not load in Internet Explorer 9, Mozilla Firefox 6.0.2, Chrome 13, Opera 11.11, or Safari 5.0.5. Opera showed notification that our pages were blocked as a pop-up; other than that, there was no notification from IObit software.

Same results after updating to latest definitions: 1060 (2011-09-09), except that Opera would load skeleton HTML framework of site with no photos or scripts.

Tried IOBit's solution by downloading and extracting the replacer files to the IMF folder in Program files. After replacing the 3 DLL files:

IntegrateFilter.dll

RegFilter.dll

URLFilter.dll

We were able to restart IMF and our sites began to load normally with the security software running. Tested the main features of our sites and they all seem to run fine. Looks like replacing these filters did the trick =)

We thank you for your timely response and helping us confirm the issue and resolution.

If there is any other details we can provide on this matter in assistance, or any other types of feedback you may need, please let us know and we'll get back to you.

Regards,

Christopher F.
