Does Advanced System Care really help? Please give me a deep honest answer. I am thinking about using it, I want to know if its safe.

Honest answer please.

Thank You.

ASC is a collection of many utility programs, that do many things.

Most of them can only help make your computer run faster and improve it.

Some, if used, require that you know how to configure the Settings for the software installed on your computer.

If you do not configure those few properly, it can delete needed data files.

You can just disable any utility or setting you are not sure about, before ruuning it. :-D

So, Be Careful, and it will Be Great! ;-)

I have recently learned the hard way, that any, and all maintenance tools that also "clean" the registry should be avoided like a Cobra.

There are several hundred thousand registry entries in your machine, and do you really think that a few obsolete keys are going to make a difference one way or the other??

I used ASC's registry cleaner, and I selected yes to all registry items that it found, and it removed something very important, and when I tried to reinstate the keys, my machine became unusable.

I ended up having to reformat, then reinstall W7, and all of my drivers........Learn from me, stay out of the registry.

I hope that was honest enough for you.

We run ASC-5's 'Deep-Registry-fix', with 'Deep-clean' activated, all the time,

on our W-7 systems, with No problems.

(Don't know about XP or Vista)

I think the Registry-fix utility must have been greatly Improved from version-4 though?

To me the most dangerious is the 'Cloned-files-cleaner' in Toolbox section.

You can delete needed data files with that one, if not Careful.

Hi DBone,

We are very sorry for the trouble you encountered. Registry Fix may have bug on few computers. Our program will backup all registry related changes. If something unexpected happen, users can undo the changes in Rescue.

If any other user encounter Registry Fix problem, please send us the Log folder and Backup folder. They usually located in %appdata%\IObit\Advanced SystemCare V5\. And then try the Rescue.
