Windows-8 on Separate Drive

Recommended Posts

I was thinking about how to put W-8 on a removable (external USB) hard-drive,

and found this interesting article about doing that:

(I did Not think about putting W-8 on a DVD and changing BIOS to boot from DVD)

That way it will be completely Isolated from W-7,

and I think this will be better than setting up a Virtual-Machine method.

Virtual-Machine method using VirtualBox:

Have you tried running any Graphics software on W-8 yet?

I was wondering if programs like Photoshop or Photofiltre have any problems with W-8?

If those have compatibility problems I may wait about installing W-8,

until that gets fixed?

programs like Photoshop

never use them nor interested to but I say thy should??

only thing I am finding is the older type programs some just will not run

but one thing this is a developer version not even a Beta as such,if you do Not Or any one reading This, understand MS protocols then better left alone ,This is not for the New user

nor a fully blow OS that would be re least to a normal user

its experimental only.

Yes, the only reason I wanted to Test W-8 was it's supposedly great new Graphics capability.

And I've read that graphics programs are not even running properly with it.

I purchased an external-drive box to put W-8 on,

but now that I find out about it's extreme limitations, :-(

I'll probably Wait for the Full version.

Oh well, I Now have a good External-drive to use on another computer.
