What's new in v2.0 :

How do we update Iobit Uninstaller if we're just using it from the toolbox in Advanced SystemCare? Or do we need to wait for an update for ASC.

IObit does not expect you to add this IObit Uninstaller update to Advanced SystemCare and it would be best to wait for an update to Advanced SystemCare :wink:

 

Having said that, for those who like to tinker, there is a way to manually add this IObit Uninstaller update to Advanced SystemCare and instructions might be given, stay tuned.

It's nice to see more work going into this. I use this tool, privacy sweeper, and registry cleaner exclusivity from ASC.

When using the new version of IObit Uninstaller in ASC5, If ASC5 is used in a different language, one should modify .lng file for that specific language according to new changes in Toolbox_Language folder.

One issue needing fixed in powerful scan and registry engine is the handling of directory&key hierarchy. A lot of times top-level directories and keys that can safely be removed aren't detected, and instead just some of the sub folders and keys are detected for removal.

Change this program name to "Suc12_Uninstal" without quote, then copy&paste it in the ASC5 folder.

 

When doing that, it always asks if you want to run the .exe file when clicking Iobit Uninstaller from the ASC Toolbox.

 

EDIT: Looks like that's only for Windows XP because it has the ".exe" extension showing in the title name. In Windows 7 this method works.

Hi CadetAndrew,

 

Did you unlock it from the right click menu properties in your XP?

 

Showing of the extention of known files can be turned on and off from Files/folders Options.

Probably it is turned on in XP and turned off in Win 7.
